Barragan Lawn Care

Services

Everything we do —in plain English.

We’ll quote any of these on-site. The price you get is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons, no upsells.

  • Weekly Mowing

Same morning, same crew, fair price. We cut, edge, and blow down before we leave — every visit looks the same as the last.

Weekly or bi-weekly mowing in Seguin, Marion, Schertz, Cibolo, and the New Braunfels edge. Same morning every week so you can plan around it. Sharp blades, height adjusted by season — taller through July and August so the Bermuda or St. Augustine holds moisture, lower in October as growth slows. Edges hit at every cut, walks blown back toward the lawn, gate latched on the way out. Most weekly customers pay a flat $45 a visit; bigger lots quoted on-site.

  • Yard Maintenance

Bed weeding, shrub trimming, mulch top-up, and the small fixes that keep a yard looking cared-for between mows.

The catch-all for everything a weekly mow does not cover. Hand-pulled weeds along edges and around vegetable beds. Seasonal pruning timed to each plant — Texas sage hard-pruned in February, lantana later, crape myrtles never butchered. Mulch top-ups in spring and fall to hold moisture through the Hill Country summer. Small irrigation tweaks if a head is off. We tell you what we did and what we did not, every time.

  • Sod Installation

Bermuda, zoysia, or St. Augustine — graded, laid, rolled, and a watering schedule you can actually follow on Seguin clay.

Soil prep on Seguin's heavy clay (it bakes, then it cracks — sod laid on unprepped clay does not take). Light grading, fresh sod laid in a brick pattern with tight seams, rolled in for soil contact, and a printed three-week watering schedule in English or Spanish. We come back at week two to check root contact and reset any seams that lifted. Pricing varies by pallet count and access — quote is on-site and free.

  • Landscape Rock

River rock, decomposed granite, and Texas limestone — installed where grass should not be in the first place.

Hill Country yards have spots where grass will not hold — strip beside the driveway, under a live oak, the slope behind the AC. Rock work solves it permanently. We install river rock, decomposed granite, and Texas limestone on weed barrier with a steel or stone edge. Sized to the property, not stamped from a template. Material delivered by the yard so you pay for what you need.

  • Grading

Re-shaping low spots, drainage swales, and the soft pad before sod or pavers go in. Done so water moves the right way.

Re-grading low spots that pond after a Hill Country gully-washer, cutting drainage swales away from foundations, and shaping the pad before sod or paver work. Done with a small skid steer on tighter lots, hand-shaped where the machine cannot reach. We will not cover up a drainage problem with sod and bill you twice.

  • Seasonal Cleanups

Spring and fall resets — pecan and oak leaves out, beds re-edged, mulch refreshed, the lawn put to bed for the next season.

Spring: cut back perennials, clear winter debris, re-edge beds, refresh mulch. Fall: pecan and oak leaves bagged or mulched in place, hulls raked out of beds, lawn stripe-mowed one last time before dormancy. Most Seguin yards we cleanup in two to three hours.

  • Edging & Trimming

Power-edged borders along walks and drives, string-trimmed around live oaks, fences, and the corners a riding mower cannot reach.

Power-edged 90-degree borders along walks, drives, and beds. String-trimmed up to fences, mailbox posts, AC condensers, and around the live oaks and pecans. Final blow-down sends clippings back across the lawn — never out into the street.

  • Mulch Installation

Hardwood, cedar, or dyed black — installed at the right depth so beds look fresh and bermudagrass gives up trying to invade.

Bulk-delivered or bagged, hand-spread to a consistent two to three inches around plants and trees with a clean edge against the lawn. We pull last year's clumped mulch first when it has matted down. Cedar holds up best around here for the price — we will walk through the trade-offs before you order.

Most weekly customers add cleanups, mulch, and the odd hardscape job — there’s usually a flat-rate way to handle that.
